Here's some info on the new project:

THE PEOPLE’S PROJECT
Unique concepts and individual voices unified through music

Pittsfield, Massachusetts - February 9, 2012 –
Introducing a truly visionary concept the likes of which the music industry has never seen before. Lyricist Carolina Black is proud to present “The People’s Project.” The objective being to create an album that will turn the tables and give the audience a chance to express what they want to hear in the music they listen to. From the lyrics to the instrumentation, the album will literally be inspired by and created for the people, with half of the proceeds going towards a charity organization of their choice.

People from all walks of life will be able to contribute their ideas about specific content they want to hear in a song, and these opinions will be used directly to write the lyrics for the album. With the intention of connecting not only with potential fans, but with everyone, conversations will be started about the meaning of hip-hop music: what people like or don’t like, what artists they listen to, and where they would like to see the music go in the future. Footage of peoples’ answers will be posted to the album’s video blog where ideas will multiply and develop into an open dialogue between artists and lover’s of music worldwide.

“The People’s Project” is a chance to encourage discussion about music as well as an opportunity to connect with individuals on a personal level. Through this inspiring young artist music there is a chance to create much more than a few predictable songs, it is a chance to express the concepts of our own community in a way that has never been done before. Carolina Black, who has spent considerable time working with youth groups as well as providing music to the United Nations for the International Day of Peace, believes that, “bringing people together is one of the most important things you can do in life,” and that is exactly what he intends to do with his music.
